Technical Liaison Group
A European-wide Technical Liaison Group (TLG) will perform a key strategic project co-ordinating role within the project and will assist in managing the local workshop organisation thereby ensuring a truly representative participation. Using its knowledge of IEC-61508 and its extensive European networks it will canvas the views of industry and undertake surveys in order to identify those areas where guiding principles on implementation are required which have the greatest impact and benefit. The TLG will assist in the identification of keynote workshop speakers during the plenary sessions.

The project Technical Liaison Group will have a European dimension consisting of end users of hazardous industrial facilities, industry trade associations and user groups who collectively represent the safety-related systems industry and its supply chains. The TLG will seek to influence and encourage other significant and influential pan European industry groups who, by mutual collaboration and sharing of practical experiences, interpretations and usage of the standard will enable European industry to design, construct and operate safe systems.
