This is to be the first SIPI workshop to be held within an Accession State and is to be hosted by Polish Safety and Reliability Association , in parallel with the international safety and reliability conference (CONBiN03). The workshop is intended to encourage discussion and exploration of the issues surrounding IEC61508 and Functional Safety in Poland and permit specific topics to be raised and addressed by the participants. In addition, speakers providing views from the regulator, various industries and academia are being arranged, including representatives from the Gdansk University of Technology, the Institute of Power Systems Automation and various industrial organisations.
