SIPI Focus Group Italy - IEC 61508 & 61511 Meeting
Milano, Italy - October 2004

Following the SIPI project - Safety In the Process Industry - sanctioned by the European Commission, for the development of a set of guidelines for the implementation of the IEC 61508 standard; the success of the seminar in Stresa last year in October 2003; and the numerous requests from the professionals in the industry, Inprotec is proud to coordinate the first Focus Group Italy - IEC 61508 & 61511 meeting in Stresa at "La Palma Hotel", on November 11th - 12th 2004.

The Focus Group Italy IEC 61508 & 61511 main objectives are to: -

 Spread the IEC 61508 & IEC 61511 standards objectives and requirements in Italian language - Convey comments on the IEC 61508 & IEC 61511 standards to the IEC National Committee

 Exchange information and experiences on standards IEC 61511 & 61511 implementation - Organise didactic activities related to the Safety Life Cycle
+
 Identify IEC 61508 & 61511 standards implementation costs and ways to reduce their level
+
 Identify possible relationships between the various international, domestic and European standards and the IEC 61508 & 61511 standards
+
 Identify suppliers and solutions operating in compliance with the IEC 61508 & 61511 standards
+
 Identify collaboration exchange methods and channels with the domestic and international organizations and associations with the objective to cover the points of this list.

 

This fall 2004, the first Focus Group Italy IEC61508 & 61511 meeting features three workshops and a Master Class. They will be conducted by experts highly experienced in the industry and with the standards. Further to the works listed on the agenda, the objective of this meeting is to share pragmatic information, suggestions, and tips as well as to provide resources for the participants.

All professionals in the industry with an interest in safety are invited to attend the 1st Focus Group Italy - 61508 & 61511 meeting.
