Guiding Principles to the Implementation of IEC-61508

A SIPI Workshop to be held in Budapest, Hungary

Arrangements have been made to hold a SIPI Workshop in Budapest, Hungary on 27th and 28th April 2004.

It is planned that contributions from the both the regulator and from industry in Hungary will be included. Papers on “Experiences in Developing Communication Reliability Management in the Hungarian Refinery Industry” and “Burner Management Automation - A part of safety”, amongst others are to be presented.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for delegates to investigate the issues and difficulties associated with the implementation of IEC61508 and IEC61511, and to discover solutions and approaches being adopted elsewhere in Hungary and Europe.
